Change up your workout routine so it's less routine. By keeping your muscles guessing and constantly trying to adapt to change, you will build a more well-rounded physique. In addition, it's more fun and more challenging to do a fresh, new training routine each time you workout.

Supersets and trisets are a challenging way to blast your body into shape. I like doing "Opposing Muscle Group Training" with both supersets or trisets.

Sample Workouts

Chest / Back (Opposing Muscle Groups)

3 rounds 15 reps. each or 1 minute per exercise

  • Pull-Ups / Bench Press
  • Seated Rows / Cable Flys
  • Back Flys / Incline Press
  • Lat Pull Downs / Push-Ups

Biceps / Triceps (Opposing Muscle Groups)

3 rounds 15 reps. each or 1 minute per exercise

  • Barbell Curls / Weighted Dips
  • Concentration Curls / OH Triceps Ext.
  • Cable Curls / Cable Push Downs
