- Eat low carbohydrate, lean proteins, in 4-5 Mini Meals throughout the day. Try portioning your meals: take 1/2 of your breakfast, lunch and dinner and eat it inbetween meals. Keeping your blood sugar level is important. Eat Fewer Refined Carbs, Reduce Your Sugar Intake, Keep a Healthy Weight, Exercise More, Eat More Fiber, Drink More Water. "I have found that eating clean protein prevents sugar cravings, too!" Kiana
- Eat Fit Fast Food instead of traditional fast food. I have Fit Cooking recipes that you can literally make in 10 minutes. Boom.
- Alternate Cheer with Fit Cheer! Sparkling water with a splash of tart cherry juice or cranberry juice makes a festive healthy bubbly inbetween cocktails. Virtually every part of the body is affected negatively from excessive drinking. Yikes.
- Eat clean & lean protein with every Mini Meal. Eggs, grilled chicken, protein shake, Kiana Bars, lean steak, tofu, beans. Protein is an important component of every cell in the body. Your body uses protein to build and repair tissues. Protein is an important building block of bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood.
- Eek~Did you know? Sedentary is the new smoking? Get up! Set a timer for 45 minutes when sitting at your desk. Get up, walk, stretch, MOVE. Physical inactivity may contribute to anxiety and depression. Physical inactivity has been shown to be a risk factor for certain cardiovascular diseases
- EZ way to drink more water. Drink a glass of water when you wake up, before each meal and before bedtime. I love making my own naturally flavored water by adding sliced juicy strawberries & a mint sprig, sliced lemons, frozen mixed berries with sparkling water, pineapple with coconut water (coconut water is so hydrating that it is used as a IV fluid in 3rd world countries!) Water is essential for life. It increases Brain Power and Provides Energy, Promotes Healthy Weight Management and Weight Loss, Flushes Out Toxins. Improves Skin & Hair, Boosts Immune System. Prevents Headaches.
- Eat food with energy. Choose foods that have visible energy and life to it. For example: vibrant leafy greens vs. dried processed foods. Juicy apples vs. potato chips. Choose foods that are loaded with life and tons of nutrients, instead of empty calories that give your body absolutely nothing.
- Smile! Simple Ways to Trigger Positive Feelings & Instant Happiness: Smile! Sounds silly, but smiling can literally trick your brain into feeling happier! Try it! Expressively love your pet. Listen to music. Play the piano, guitar, drums. Get outside. Take slow deep breaths. Close your eyes and picture yourself in your favorite tranquil Flex Appeal location. One of my favorite "get pumped" songs for working out is by Eminem (click here)
- Get enough ZZZ's. Studies show that adults who sleep 7-8 hours per night get sick less often, stay at a healthy weight, have a lower risk for serious health problems, like diabetes and heart disease, show reduced stress and improved moods, get along better with people, think more clearly and do better at work.
- Motivate! It's ironic that I literally motivate myself. lol. Watching Kiana's Flex Appeal, I get motivated to train harder so that Kiana girl doesn't get the best of me. Watch your favorite episodes click here.
" I’m very picky who I spend time with, the foods I eat & how they're prepared, the exercises & gear used in my workouts, my home & surroundings & am very solicitous of the happiness and care of my Ohana."
