Mango Turtles

When I was a little girl, I used to eat Mangos in Hawaii all of the time. My parents taught me to eat them in a special way and now I teach my little girls this too! It’s a fun way to cut them so they look like turtles. It’s an easier way to enjoy the fresh, sweet, juicy fruit.
If you can’t watch the above Video, here is how you cut the Mangos:
1. Slice the fruit into large wedges.
2. Cut small squares in the fruit in cross sections, without cutting to the peel

3. Push the middle upward and it makes little cubes that are easy to pop in your mouth and enjoy!

Nutrition Facts / Mangos:

High in Vitamin C, Potassium, Vitamin B6, Vitamin A. High in Fiber, Fat Free, +100 Calories and contain Beta Carotene which may help to delay the aging process.  Wait, there’s more…Mangos may prevent certain types of cancer, improve lung function and reduce complications associated with diabetes. Enjoy!
